It’s been three decades since Allpress set up their first independent coffee cart, buying a second hand roaster and embarking on a bold entrepreneurial journey fuelled by passion and the search for great flavour. Our little coffee cart helped introduce specialty coffee to New Zealand and changed the drinking habits of a nation. Today, we roast coffee for the best independent cafés in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Singapore and the UK.
About the role
Our Business Development Manager will be a key player at Allpress Singapore, focusing on finding new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and helping Allpress grow and succeed across the region. You'll analyse markets, pursue new acquisitions, and work closely with partners and teams across the company to drive sales and revenue in line with our Allpress goals and values.
Driving business growth while fostering our brand values, this role will see you:
Formulate and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify and reach out to potential customers, establishing genuine relationships that lead to lasting partnerships.
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to create a strong pipeline of business opportunities.
Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets through effective analysis, planning, and performance tracking.
Oversee sales administration to ensure smooth processes, accurate recordkeeping, and effective team communication.
Monitor industry trends and changes, providing insights to guide strategic decisions.
Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage agreements to ensure favourable terms.
Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client interactions and prepare regular reports for management.
About you
As a seasoned and well-connected Business Development Manager with firsthand experience in the Singapore region, you’ll bring exceptional customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and strong communication abilities to the table. With a knack for forging meaningful connections, you will be pivotal in delivering an exceptional Allpress brand experience to our customers.
To be successful in this role you will need:
3-5 years of sales experience with proven success in cold calling, prospecting, and meeting targets.
Demonstrated track record in business development, with strong commercial acumen.
Ability to build trust and rapport with clients, leveraging an existing network of industry connections.
Excellent active listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective negotiator who achieves mutually beneficial outcomes.
Strong administrative skills, with a focus on using data insights for decision-making.
Willingness to travel quarterly within Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Experience in the hospitality, coffee, events, or leisure industries is advantageous.
Must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident.
