Located at the corner of Ponsonby Road and Williamson Avenue, Bodega is a New York-inspired deli known for its delicious pastries, fresh sandwiches, and our very own A.R.T. Espresso coffee. With its heritage charm and relaxed vibe, it’s the perfect spot for a morning coffee, a hearty lunch, or an afternoon Aperitivo.

Bodega has quickly become a favourite on Auckland’s dining scene since opening in July.

Nestled on the corner of Ponsonby Road and Williamson Avenue, this laid-back New York-style deli is the brainchild of the trio behind Parade and Rosalita’s. With decades of hospitality experience between them, Bryan Anderson, Nick Fury, and Sean Bone have created a welcoming spot that seamlessly transitions from a daytime sandwich shop to a vibrant aperitivo venue by night.

Fuelled by our A.R.T. Espresso, Bodega offers made-to-order deli sandwiches, breakfast rolls, and Italian-inspired treats like cannoli and maritozzo. From 8am to 10:30am, patrons can build their own New York-style Kaiser rolls, followed by a fresh lineup of hearty sandwiches from 11am. Their concise menu is all about good, honest food made fresh, with standout dishes like the indulgent French Dip sandwich or the creamy Sausage Ragù.

Then between 3:30–7:30pm (From Thursday to Saturday), Bodega transforms into the ideal spot for pre-dinner drinks and snacks. The aperitivo menu features sharing plates like pillowy-soft focaccia with butter and pickles, beef croquettes, and charcoal chicken skewers with plum glaze and labneh, all paired with hand-picked wines, Italian spritzes, or ice-cold beers. With affordable dishes, it’s easy to try a little of everything.

A Slice of New York in Ponsonby

The space itself exudes warmth and charm, with a nod to old-school Brooklyn delis. Inside, the cosy yet stylish fit-out invites lingering, while the outdoor seating offers the perfect spot for soaking up the sun with friends.

Whether you’re stopping by for coffee, a mid-morning bite, or unwinding with charcuterie and cocktails in the afternoon, Bodega is a versatile space that celebrates honest food, great coffee, and laid-back dining.
