Hervey Bay is on the Fraser Coast of sunny Queensland, Australia. With flights arriving daily from both Brisbane and Sydney, it’s an easy spot to visit for a long weekend. Alternatively, take the scenic route on wheels as it is also a three hour drive north of Brisbane. Pack your snorkel for exploring the Great Barrier Reef, sunscreen for protection from the North Australia sunshine and of course ensure an empty belly for continuous feasting at Enzo’s.
Named after the owner and operator, Enzo moved to Melbourne from Hanover in Germany after over a decade working in the sound and lighting department for big-name music gigs. Our hot tip is to name drop Tina Turner or Bon Jovi and he’ll have a story or two to tell.
He started in Hervey Bay as a tour guide for German tourists before claiming Enzo’s on the Beach in 2004. It was then more of a beach shack style café than the impressive, bay-side restaurant it is now after its rebuild earlier this year.
The breakfast menu includes all of the holiday favourites – eggs in every imaginable way, fresh fruit, plates full of protein and a good old-fashioned pancake stack.
