There is no denying Bambina Ponsonby is a community institution. But for some of their customers, Bambina has gone beyond just a cafe and is lovingly referred to as their second home – but after being open for 20 years, no one should be surprised.
Only a year ago, Bambina underwent a brand new fit out with interior designer Katie Lockhart – who creates spaces “that you just want to fall into and stick around or maybe never leave”. The brief was to create a space that still felt like Bambina, not just some new café in their space.
Our relationship with Bambina is something special too – we have been supplying their coffee since day one and our Ponsonby Espresso Bar sits on the original Bambina site. Being next door neighbours works out perfectly for both of us – some customers often feel like the two places are one, which just shows how well we sit next to each other.
