An old steelworks warehouse in Montreal Street is where you’ll find us in Christchurch.
Each day you’ll see an eclectic mix of people, from tradies who leave their shoes at the door, to young students drawing plans for their latest architecture assignment, all wanting to find a place to breathe and connect over a flat white.
The building refurbishment draws on unique design details seen in our other Roasteries around the world — mint tiles shipped in from Japan, large windows paired with lots of glass to let light in and beautiful timber finishings. It’s an all-encompassing base for us, our customers, and coffee drinkers alike.
Under Montreal St's high-angled ceilings you’ll find our café, distribution centre, technical workshop and, of course, plenty of coffee. The café offers a wide range of fare too — from traditional Italian-style sandwiches to beautiful salads — and cheese rolls, of course. Almost everything is made in-house, right down to the sauces, and our bread is freshly baked by one of our customers just down the road.
And don’t worry that there’s no roaster to be seen, our beans are shipped fresh from our Dunedin Roastery every day. And they’re Hot Air Roasted to perfection. We offer our full range of blends — from the lighter Good Brew to our rich A.R.T. Espresso Roast. You can enjoy them through a delicious pour-over or buy them to brew in the comfort of your home.
From Montreal Street, we provide technical service for all our customers in the South Island — from Cob & Lobster in Nelson to Vudu Café & Larder in Queenstown. Being in Christchurch has allowed us to be closer to our customers and provide better support for them, including on-site training, technical servicing and hand-delivering coffee to those nearby.
