After a stunning restoration in 2021, the historic Princess Theatre in Woolloongabba is now home to Fables Bar and Café, pouring delicious brews for concert-goers, passers-by and their dedicated regulars.
Established in 1888 and reborn in 2021, the Princess Theatre is the oldest standing theatre in Queensland with a rich history on Brisbane’s south side. Located on the ground floor of the theatre, Fables operates as a cosy café in the mornings, before the craft brews and cocktails come out for the evening shows.
The café has all the necessities when it comes to pastries and also provides made-to-order sandwiches for lunch; as well as your beloved usual suspects when it comes to café fare. The snug space is filled with tables and seating inside and out to truly drink in the beautiful building and surrounds.
