Iconic Flavour has been our promise for over three decades. After a few years in development to get them perfected, we’re stoked to be launching our new range of Iced Specialty Coffee cans in Aotearoa and Australia — a new way to takeaway.

Delivering a consistent flavour experience for every coffee drinker is something we’re incredibly passionate about. No one wants to compromise on the quality of their coffee on the road, which has led us to launch our iced specialty coffee cans.

Not only is brewing coffee consistently difficult, but packaging brewed coffee is another challenge entirely. It’s taken a few years to nail our recipe, but we’ve sourced two Brazilian specialty-grade coffees that showcase the iconic Allpress flavour experience.

Both from the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil, Fazenda Terra Rica and Fazenda Conquista share very similar flavour profiles of caramel, brown sugar and chocolate with citric acidity and a long, clean aftertaste.

Fazenda Terra Rica | Monte Carmelo, MG.

Our producer’s name is Francisco Sergio de Assis. He’s the president of a large cooperative in the same area called MonteCCer.

We were lucky enough to spend a day with Francisco when we toured Terra Rica back in 2017. An impressive estate carrying several certifications, it has 50,000 square metres of drying patio space and additional space for mechanical drying as well. The facilities were absolutely spotless, well-organised and world-class. We met several employees in passing and Francisco was very proud of the fact that so many of his staff had worked at the farm for over twenty years.

Terra Rica suits Allpress in terms of what we typically seek in our Brazilian coffee; great balance and sweetness with caramel/brown sugar tones, chocolate, citric acidity and a clean, long aftertaste. We discovered this coffee through our long-time Brazilian partner NKG Stockler, who we’ve worked with since 2009.

Fazenda Conquista | MG

The second coffee being used in our RTDs is sourced through Ipanema Coffee, a well-known specialty coffee company that both trades green coffee and roasts too. We’re sourcing this second coffee from one of Ipanema’s farms — Fazenda Conquista.

It shares very similar qualities in the cup as the Terra Rica with good sweetness, great balance and body, caramel/brown sugar notes, chocolate tones and citric acidity. Sourcing a second origin guarantees we’ll have enough coffee to keep up with demand and that our RTDs will taste exactly how we need them to; guaranteeing a consistent flavour experience.

Alternating between these two coffees as the base for our Iced Specialty Coffee cans, we’ve crafted three flavours to replicate the café flavour experience — Black, Latte and Mocha.

Iced Black

Smooth, bold and well-balanced with notes of chocolate, toffee and gentle apple acidity. A cold-brew style black coffee.

Iced Latte

Perfectly brewed specialty coffee blended with creamy dairy milk. Rich, bold and smooth with notes of chocolate and caramel — a stone-cold café classic.

Iced Mocha

Specialty coffee blended with cocoa and creamy dairy milk. Rich and bold with smooth chocolate tones — a sweet and creamy pick-me-up.
